Please join us this Sunday for Do Good Sunday: Brunch For A Cause from 11:00-3:00. Enjoy delicious brunch specials prepared by @thebiscuitman and come thirsty because we will be donating 25% of bar sales to LYTE Collective. @lytecollective, a group of former participants and directors of homeless youth organizations in Chicago is preparing to open the LYTE Lounge, a community center in Chicago’s Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood for young people experiencing poverty and homelessness. LYTE Collective will support youth through services at the Lounge as they develop their passions and talents, work toward education goals, secure employment opportunities, meet basic needs and enhance their overall safety and well-being.
The LYTE Lounge will house a music studio, basketball court, performance stage, teaching kitchen, computer lab, arts and dance space, secure storage units, meeting and gathering spaces as well as private offices for counseling, tutoring and employment support. Youth who participate in LYTE Lounge programs will have access to food, showers, laundry, clothing, hygiene supplies, as well as connections to safe housing, transportation, physical and mental health support, and legal services. See you on Sunday!
