"It's not only the best neighborhood bar in the city, it's the only neighborhood bar that's lacking in pretension--whether hipster or yuppie or dive--in Chicago, period. As everyone has already mentioned, the selection is well-chosen, the prices are decent, and the staff is excellent.

But I'd go one step further and say that I've never been to a place in all of Chicago that has such decent, respectful, and non-bull people working for them. It's definitely the best place to go to if you're a newcomer to Chicago.
